Not only is VEG ER an amazing emergency pet clinic, but it's also the standard of how all customer service businesses should run. I've been here twice with my dog (unfortunately) and both times I've been so thankful for VEG ER. They are compassionate but action oriented; display a level of urgency and efficiency but not rushed or chaotic. They are loving to both the pet and the people. Very friendly and are comforting even in what can be an emotionally draining situation. NGL, I hope I don't have to go back but if something happens to one of my dogs, I know exactly where I am going!
VEG ER beats the people ER every single day - hands down, in fact, you'd probably have better treatment dressing up like a dog and taking your chances at VEG ER vs. human medical care. JK don't really do that. But the point is VEG ER is 10/10.
When my granddog began experiencing seizures, my daughter called terrified. We called around and fortunately found VER, and from the moment we walked through the doors, we knew we were in the right place.
Our now beloved Raleigh was in critical condition suffering from a seizure and the entire team immediately shifted their attention to her care. Even though I know they had other fur babies, they made us feel as though we were the only family there. Every single person we encountered, from the front desk reception staff to the veterinary technicians and doctor, treated us with kindness, compassion, and genuine concern.
I especially want to recognize Dr. Anna Taylor, along with Cam, Alexis, and Jess. Their professionalism, empathy, and attentiveness were extraordinary. They continuously checked on us, offered water and tissues, answered every question, and made sure we felt included in every step of the evaluation, treatment process and final planning.
One moment that particularly stood out was when Dr. Taylor sat on the floor with her laptop at eye level with my daughter. She patiently explained her findings, discussed what may have led to the seizures, and ensured we understood everything that was happening. She never rushed us and made us feel heard and respected during one of the scariest moments one can experience.
Another major concern, was the financial aspect of care. Naturally, we were worried about the cost, but the team addressed those concerns with such compassion and sincerity that it immediately eased some of our anxiety. They repeatedly reassured us that they would help us through the process and that they did not want financial stress to overshadow our focus regarding Raleigh's health and well-being. What touched me most was that it never felt like something they were obligated to say. It was genuine. I truly believed them when they said they would help us through the process, and that level of empathy and understanding meant more than words can express during such an overwhelming time.
Throughout our visit, they encouraged us to stay close, remain involved, and be part of Raleigh's care journey. We never felt alone. We felt supported by an entire team.

During one of the most frightening experiences, you provided not only outstanding medical care but also comfort, reassurance, and hope. I just started my job. My 1st dog died the day before. The 2nd one wasn't 2 far behind. I tried to get qualified for 2 loan. companies and they denied me. So the doctor agreed to see and treat my baby girl for a completely free visit and treatment. With meds and food to go home with. Thank you all...I truly appreciate you all. U saved my baby and me. I'll never 4 get yall...Thanks again. Yall all on night shift your world class in book. I could never ask for anything better.. I wanted to personally thank Dr. Nuwer, Kevin, Leigha, Keren, Cameron, and every other staff member at VEG ER who helped assist our Beasty boy, during his recent visit.
